As a Pittsburgh-owned, local small business, Furbes Ave Pet Supply was founded on November 2, 2024, by three people with a dream. We are nested in Forbes Avenue of Squirrel Hill within City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a few minutes from University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University — we are proud to be part of this vibrant community.
We are extremely selective about the products we carry. Our shelves are filled only with the good stuff: premium pet treats without fillers or additives, reputable pet food brands, unique toys, and specialty items sourced from small businesses across the United States. We believe pets aren’t just numbers — they’re family. After a year of preparation and renovation, we officially opened our doors to the public on November 1, 2025. Today, we’re proud to serve the Squirrel Hill community with passion and purpose.
