As a Pittsburgh-owned, local small business, Furbes Ave Pet Supply was founded on November 2, 2024, by three people with a dream. Located on Forbes Avenue in the heart of Squirrel Hill—just minutes from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University—we are proud to be part of this vibrant community.

We are extremely selective about the products we carry. Our shelves are filled only with the good stuff: premium pet treats without fillers or additives, reputable pet food brands, unique toys, and specialty items sourced from small businesses across the United States. We believe pets aren’t just numbers—they’re family.

After a year of preparation and renovation, we officially opened our doors to the public on November 1, 2025. Today, we’re proud to serve the Squirrel Hill community with passion and purpose.
